A federal investigator arrives at a remote West Virginia penitentiary in December 1987 to solve a correction officer's death — and finds a vanished inmate, a grieving family, and a prison that refuses to let go of its dead.
Closure is a feature psychological thriller I executive produced through IKIGAI International. Directed by Will Wernick from a screenplay by Jason Rosen, the film stars Michael Kelly (House of Cards, Jack Ryan), Mena Suvari, Kevin Pollak, and Dennis Haysbert. Set inside a remote West Virginia penitentiary in December 1987 and shot entirely on location in Moundsville, West Virginia. International sales handled by Radiant Films International out of the Cannes market. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 with a theatrical release following in Summer 2026.
My role spanned creative development and financing. I was brought in at principal photography and post-production to structure the project's financing and team through IKIGAI's producer-first model. Through post-production, I gave notes that shaped the final film. I partnered with Jason Rosen, EP and Writer, on festival positioning, TIFF 2025 premiere strategy, and buyer conversations across the market window alongside Radiant Films International, and co-architected the film's path from festival premiere to theatrical release.
